About Department

 

Started as a General course department in 1963.

Honours was introduced in 2000.

Economics Honours can be taken up by any student who has passed with Mathematics in the H.S/equivalent level. However, no such requirement is relevant for ‘General’ course.

Students have access to departmental computer with internet facility.

Students who pass out with Economics Honours have potential careers in MBA, Civil Services, Banking Sector, Financial Analysis, Indian Economic Service, teaching and research activities.
